What is coaching?

Coaching is a powerful, collaborative relationship between a coach and a willing individual or group, which enables through a
process of discovery, goal setting, and strategic changes and actions, the realization of new behaviors and extraordinary
results.

Coaching is also a body of knowledge, a technology, and a style of relating that focuses on the development of human
potential. Coaching is inter-developmental in that the collaboration develops both the individual being coached and the coach.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy focuses on exploring, healing and recovery from ones past or treatment of mental illness.
Coaching focuses on accessing internal resources and developing skills and behaviors for successful attainment of agreed goals
and outcomes and to remove obstacles that can keep you from living your full potential.
What is the difference between change management consulting and coaching?

Change Management consulting focuses on putting strategies, structures and processes in place to help an individual through
a specific transition usually associated with change in the organization of which the individual is part. Sometimes it might be
necessary to focus on a particular individual to coach them through a transition period. In such cases the coaching will then
focus on defining a well-formed outcome and on accessing internal resources and developing skills and behaviors for
successful attainment of agreed goals and outcomes.
How does training differ from coaching?

Each coaching relationship is powered and supported by its own unique dynamic and synergy. No two relationships are alike,
even if clients are working towards the same outcomes. You as the client drive and determine the outcomes and scope of the
relationship. We drive rhythm and tempo of the sessions. Together we work to achieve your desired outcomes. Between
sessions you will be required to practice your new skills or behavior and take action towards your goals.

In training, the relationship is supported through a transfer of knowledge, skills and an exposure to alternative mindsets. It
includes different media such as classroom training, tele-classes, participative workshops and retreats for a group of
participants.

How are coaching programmes structured?

Clients have the choice of embarking upon individual and/or group coaching, with a choice of either freestyle or process coaching within a programme or
session format.

Freestyle coaching works towards agreed outcomes in agreed time frames, without structure or a set programme. Freestyle coaching suits individuals &
groups who like to leave their options open and the freedom to creatively work towards their goals.

Process coaching works towards agreed outcomes in agreed time frames, following a proven coaching methodology and programme. Process coaching suits
individuals & groups who like to systematically work towards their goals step by step.

Each programme is designed for the individual needs of each person or group and the agreed outcomes of the coaching relationship. Most coaching
relationships span over a 3-6 month time frame, and will be one of or a combination of the following:

Phone Coaching - sessions over the telephone
Face to Face Coaching - sessions face to face with your coach
Email Coaching - an ongoing coaching conversation via email
One on One Coaching - individual coaching
Group Coaching - more than one person in a session

Session times can vary from 20 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hrs, 2 hrs, 3 hrs, half day and full day. Frequencies of session can range between weekly,
fortnightly, monthly or quarterly.
How are change management programmes structured?

Can not be determined before an organizational needs analysis is done. (This can be high level at first). Each programme is
designed for the individual needs of each organisation or group and the agreed outcomes of the consulting relationship. Our
niche is that we set up change initiatives very successfully. It is cheaper, reduce the hassle factor and provide for better
sustainable change. It is therefore imperative that our team get involved at least two months before the kick-off of a big
change initiative.
